Alejah Ilidan

My name is Alejah, and I’m an artist based in the Pacific Northwest, working mainly in oil and gouache. I love traditional materials and the physical process of painting—the texture, the color, and the time it takes to build an image. My work tends to be bright, but I’m also interested in quieter, more reflective moments.

As a Filipino artist, my perspective is shaped by personal experience, memory, and place. I’m drawn to everyday spaces, interiors, and small details that might seem ordinary at first, but often hold a story or a feeling just beneath the surface. I like making work that leaves a little room for interpretation.

Everything I create is made by hand and guided by intuition as much as planning. Whether it’s an original painting, an illustration, or a commissioned piece, my goal is to make artwork that feels thoughtful, personal, and comfortable in the space it ends up in.
